This is the basic 5-Line Marlin Spread. This spread was specificially designed for smaller boats with small crews. However, has proven to be effective on any size boat.

Dredge

200s3 Bar

Pictured with hooks, these are hookless in the Marlin spread.

7-Line Marlin Spread

Change it up, run two 200s3 dredges from the flat lines and a 200s3 spreader bar down the middle. These are hookless teasers, so keep a a couple of meat rigged rods for pitch baits because this spread will draw the bite!

Run the spreader bar as is in a short shot gun position, not too far back. Run the dredges off the corners, keeping them down with a down rigger or 20oz in line weight. We have also used large planers to keep them down, but the inline is quick and easy.
